Brief Introduction of Product
What is Sliding Rheostat ?
A sliding rheostat, also known simply as a rheostat, is a variable resistor with a sliding contact or wiper that allows for adjustable resistance in an electrical circuit. The term "rheostat" is derived from the Greek words "rheos," meaning "stream," and "statis," meaning "to stand still." In essence, a rheostat controls the flow of electrical current in a circuit.
The primary function of a sliding rheostat is to provide variable resistance in an electrical circuit. This device allows the user to manually adjust the amount of resistance, thereby controlling the flow of electric current and influencing the voltage within the circuit.
